Welcome to SEASAM!

Welcome to the NSF Facility for Seafloor Sampling! We are a multi-institutional team, centered at the University of Washington, dedicated to providing scientists across the United States with access to seafloor samples critical for addressing some of the most pressing questions in the geosciences as they connect to the marine environment. We are excited to provide cutting-edge technology, experienced technicians and excellent customer service to help scientists plan and implement their oceanographic research expeditions.

Led by an experienced and enthusiastic team, we look forward to working with the science community and beyond to advance seafloor science and technology. We are also looking forward to working with educators and the general public to inspire the next generation of geoscientists, oceanographers and marine technicians.
